Josie M. Butler

Butler, Josie M. (Belcher) 87, resided with her daughter, Joyce Riddle (Pressley) in Glen Burnie, MD. She went to be with Jesus on May 18, 2015. She was born on August 24, 1927 in Pardee, VA. Josie was a mother of two daughters, a grandmother of two and a great-grandmother of three. In addition to her husband Bill, she was preceded in death by six brothers and one sister. Josie is survived by her children, Joyce Riddle (Pressley) of Glen Burnie, MD, Rowena Johnson of Kingsland, GA.; step-son William Dale Butler of Glen Burnie, MD; Brother, Bob Bolling of VA; sister, Nadine Trent of TN, Lorraine Smith of Dundalk; She is also survived by grandchildren Sheila K. Neff of Odenton, MD and Lonnie L. Shaw of Brunswick; great grandchildren Randy Hyson, Jr., Brianna Hyson both of Odenton, MD, and Nicholas Shaw of Gastonia, NC. Josie, throughout her life was the family Matriarch and was the most giving person anyone could ever know. She will be truly missed by all. Family will receive friends at Kirkley-Ruddick Funeral Home, 421 Crain Hwy, SE, Glen Burnie, MD 21061 on Friday, May 22, 2015 from 11am to 1pm. Funeral Service at 1:00 pm. Interment in Cedar Hill Cemetery to follow service.
