Judith Ann Rose

December 27, 1941 — September 12, 2025

Linthicum

Judith Ann Rose, 83, Linthicum resident, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family
under hospice care on Friday, September 12, 2025.She was born in Point Pleasant, WV on
Saturday December 27, 1941, to Ernest W. Call, Sr. and Clyda Mae (Robbins) Call
Judith graduated from Point Pleasant High School in 1959. She married the love of her life and
was blessed with a baby boy in 1972. Judith was raised Methodist and carried her faith
throughout her life.

Judith enjoyed going to Dennys for breakfast, family get togethers, Bingo World and the Casino
where her and her son John would play the slots, she was quite lucky. When she was not playing
the “one-armed bandit”, she was hanging out with her grandson “Shep”. She would bring him
and the family breakfast every Saturday morning. Shep always looked forward to his Chocolate
Frosted donut with Sprinkles. Judith cherished her time with her grandson. On Wednesday and
Friday, she would pick him up from school and spend quality time with him. Often, they would
take trips to the Dollar Store, where they would shop for goodies.

Judith also was a like a second Mother to Allison Rose, the daughter of her Son John, who lived
with her for many years and up until her passing. Her and her husband John would watch and
play with Allison when she was small, attend school events and support her all through her
formative years. Juju loved Allison very much.

Judith took an interest in her neighbors and what they were doing, she knew everyone on her
street and enjoyed talking with them. Her family was most important to her, and she enjoyed
spending time with them. Every Christmas Eve she carried on with the tradition of hosting her
family at home for a buffet-style dinner and the opening of gifts together. She was especially
famous for her fudge, which everyone enjoyed. Her kind soul and thoughtfulness will be greatly
missed.

Judith was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest W. Call, Sr. and Clyda Mae (Robbins) Call,
her sister Cindy Lou Call, brother John Milton Call, and her husband of 57 years, John Henry
Rose. She is survived by her son John David Rose of Linthicum; her sister, Lili Mae (Call)
Roush of Oak Hill, OH; brothers Ernest Willard “Willie” Call of Point Pleasant, WV and James
Richard “Buck” Call of Barboursville, WV; granddaughter Allison Leigh Rose, and grandson
