Julia  Quasney

On April 4, 2011, Julia E. Quasney of Florida, previously of Ferndale and Glen Burnie, passed away at the age of 89. Wife of the late Royal Quasney; Devoted friend and companion of the late “Bud” Sheppard; Beloved mother of Margaret Jansen and Marilyn Lawson; Grandmother of six and Great-Grandmother of seven. Julia was predeceased by her parents, Julia (nee Blake) and Roy Willie; sisters, Margaret M. Horafus, Shirley Herlth and Betty Scheib.

Julia worked in retail for 37 years before retiring, in sales for Hoschild Kohn’s and as a buyer for Zamoiski’s. She came out of retirement, while in her 70’s to work for the Hechts. Jewels was a charter member of the Ferndale Community Club and enjoyed reading, crocheting, embroidery and traveling.
