Born Julia Davies in Alexandria, VA on September 13, 1926 to the late Mr. James and Mrs. Beulah Davies. Mrs. Julia Trayer moved from Woodlawn to Glen Burnie in 2007. She was a member of Glen Burnie United Methodist Church, Eastern Star Woodlawn Chapter 101 and the Red Hatters. Julia spent most of her time caring for her family and pets. She also enjoyed sewing and making ceramics. Her smile would light up a room. She was a proud mother and grandmother and cherished the time spent with her family.
Mrs. Julia D. Trayer passed away on July 7, 2020 at home with her family by her side. In addition to her parents, Julia was preceded in death by her husband Dorsey L. Trayer, her longtime companions William H. Rauck, and Mickey McGowan, her sister Betty L. Brown, and her brothers Robert Holsinger, James Davies, Jr., and Donald Davies. She leaves behind her sons, Gary and Keith Trayer, her daughter Glynda Williamson, four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. She will be missed by all who knew her and her love will be with them always.
Friends may call on the family Friday, July 10 from 3-5 and 7-5 PM with funeral services on Saturday, July 11 at 10 AM at the family owned Kirkley-Ruddick Funeral Home, 421 Crain Hwy. S.E., Glen Burnie, MD 21061.
