Karen E. Boyer

December 5, 1946 — November 3, 2024

She was born Karen Elizabeth Lugenbeel on December 5, 1946 in Baltimore, MD to the late Claude Howard and Thelma Elizabeth Taylor Lugenbeel. She was a resident of Glen Burnie for over 60 years. A 1964 graduate of Glen Burnie High School, she worked for the National Security Administration for over 40 years. Karen was an active member of Rejoice Fellowship as well as the Lady’s Auxiliary of American Legion Post #40 serving as chaplain, president and was a member of the honor guard. She enjoyed sewing, reading, travel and was a fan of NCIS on television.  In addition to her parents, she is preceded by her husband Thomas R. Boyer, Sr. Left to cherish her memory are her brother Richard Lugenbeel of Glen Burnie, her son Jeffrey S. Boyer and daughter in law Amy Boyer of Virginia and grandchildren Kaitlyn and Ryan Boyer. She passed away peacefully at Complete Care of Severna Park following a lengthy illness.

Family and friends may visit at the KIRKLEY RUDDICK FUNERAL HOME on Thursday, November 7, 2024, 2pm - 4pm and 6pm-8pm.  Service will be Friday, November 8, 2024, 11:00am at Rejoice Fellowship Church. Interment immediately following at Glen Haven Memorial Park.
