Karen Anne Kiehle Simmons

Karen Anne Kiehle Simmons died surrounded by her family, on Sunday, February 12, 2023, at the University of Maryland Medical Center. Karen was born on Sunday, December 30, 1962, to Robert Lee and Ruth Anne (Johnston) Kiehle, in Washington, DC. She graduated from Northwestern High School in 1980 and was a Data Analyst for Arbitrion for more than 20 years. In her younger healthier years, she really enjoyed being on the motorcycle and being part of the "Road Hogz" motorcycle group but when she started with some health issues, she and David Simmons, traded in the bike for the RV.  Camping/Glamping became their new love at River Bend in Falling Waters, where lots of fun was had by all. She was fun and always having a good time. Karen loved to also collect snowmen, and anything Jim Shore.

Karen is preceded by her parents, Robert Lee Kiehle and Ruth Anne (Johnston) Kiehle; and her brother, Robert Lee Kiehle, II. She is survived by the love of her life, David Simmons of Glen Burnie; sister, Claire Kiehle of Glen Burnie; her "babies", Sneakers, Zoe and Spooner and there's a cat too, Gypsy. She was loved by many and will be missed.

Family and friends may gather at the KIRKLEY RUDDICK FUNERAL HOME on Thursday, 3-5 & 7-9pm. Services and Interment are private.
