Kathleen E. Wainwright

Kathleen E. Wainwright was born in Islip, New York on Saturday, October 6, 1951 to Clayton Stewart and Evelyn Irene (Thomas) Piercey. She earned her Master of Science in Education, Elementary Education and was a Special Education Teacher for numerous years. She was also a member of Alpha Chi, National College Honor Scholarship Society. Kathleen moved to Maryland from North Carolina in 2015. She loved reading, traveling, gardening and was very artistic but overall, she truly loved and lived for her grandchildren. She will be missed by many.

Kathleen is preceded by her parents, Clayton Stewart Piercey and Evelyn Irene (Thomas) Piercey; her significant other, 3rd generation circus performer from Hungary, Ferenc (Frank) Joszef Mogyorosi, and her sister, Debra Zeidler. She is survived by her children, Nicole Mogyorosi of Severn, Danielle Mogyorosi of Brooklyn, New York and Victoria Mogyorosi of South Carolina; brother Norman Piercey of Florida and her grandchildren, Riley and Langston Mogyorosi, Sloane, Pierce and Finn Morris.

Funeral service will be at the KIRKLEY-RUDDICK FUNERAL HOME on Saturday, November 13, 2021, 11:00 AM. Interment private.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Anne Arundel County Infants and Toddlers Program. Kathleen devoted much of her life to the development and education of children with disabilities. We would like to honor her commitment by donating to a program she felt passionate about.
