Kathryn J. Ashley

On October 30, 2012, Kathryn J. Ashley of Severn passed away at the age of 87. Beloved wife of the late Richard Ashley; devoted mother of Brian R. Ashley, Brenda F. Stoehr and Melody J. Ravert; Caring sister of Herbert, William and Dennis Greenawald and the late Doris Sayer, Elsie Goode and Franklin and Ed Greenawald; cherished grandmother of Angela, Benjamin, Rebecca and Stephanie and great-grandmother of Alex. Kathryn proudly served in the United States Army during WWII, which is where she met her husband Richard. She attended to him as a Medical Technician when he came to her with a broken leg. It wasn't long before he asked her to marry him and the rest is 65 years of wedded bliss! After the Army, she later worked in the cafeteria at NSA before she retired. Kathryn enjoyed sewing, puzzles and participating in her church choir.
