On Wednesday, November 1, 2023, Kathryn Elizabeth Hittle (White), 72, Severn resident, died with her husband by her side, after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer's. Kathy was born on Saturday, May 26, 1951, in Sewickley Valley, Pennsylvania, to Howard W. and Ruth J. (Lipscomb) White. She graduated from Northeast High School in 1969 and went to work for Westinghouse. After taking time off to raise her two sons, she resumed working for the Anne Arundel County Public School system as financial secretary at the Center of Applied Technologies School in Severn.
Kathy had a green thumb and loved to garden. Her absolute favorites were red roses.
After retiring from the Center of Applied Technologies, she began caring for her grandchildren until they were school aged. She loved to travel with her family. Her favorite trips were RVing to Alaska and visiting Cape Cod. Even with all her travels, she enjoyed her family the most. She was a wonderful mother and doting grandparent.
Kathryn is preceded by her parents, Howard W. White and Ruth J. (Lipscomb) White. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Paul L. Hittle of Severn; her two sons, Jason C. Hittle and Nicholas B. Hittle; her brother, David W. Hittle and her two grandchildren, Lilly M. Hittle and Jason M. Hittle.
