Kazimir Rekucki Sr.

On November 8, 2009, Kazimir Rekucki Sr. of Glen Burnie passed away at home at the age of 87.  Born on October 22, 1922 in Poland, Kazimir has lived in Glen Burnie since coming to the United States as a young man.  He worked as a Crew Chief for the Anne Arundel County Public Works until retiring after 30 years of service. He also worked part-time for the Glen Burnie Baptist Church.  Kazimir enjoyed watching the Orioles, crabbing and playing and watching soccer.  Most especially, he enjoyed spending time with his three grandsons; Doug Rekucki, Tom McCormick III, Casey McCormick and his great-grandson, Dorian Rekucki.  Kazimir is survived by his devoted wife of 63 years, Elisabeth Rekucki; his beloved children Kazimir Jr. of Arkansas and Elvira McCormick and her husband Tom Jr. of Glen Burnie; and his three grandsons and one great-grandson.
