Doug an amazing father, brother, uncle and friend. Keith Douglas Stickley was born May 9, 1957 on an Army base in Kentucky, he was a lifetime resident of Glen Burnie. He proudly served with the Marine Corps from 1975-1979.
Everyone who knew Doug can attest to the fact that they felt safe with him about anything, he wouldn’t judge and would help in anyway he was able to. His one condition was that you be honest with him because if there was one thing he hated, it was liars. Everyone can also attest that he was a strong willed, tenacious person, a natural born leader if you will. He was the life of the party and could truly light up a room.
Doug loved to talk. He could talk to anyone about anything. His favorite things to talk peoples ears off about were his penny collection, his lottery numbers, the Baltimore Ravens and his love for music including some of his favorite bands Led Zeppelin, Metallica, The Rolling Stones and AC/DC.
Doug lived a million lives in his lifetime. Everyone has their regrets even him but he truly lived to enjoy life whether that was traveling the world or driving across the country or even being an outlaw. He had such a vast wealth of knowledge and could tell of experiences that most couldn’t even imagine.
Left to cherish his memory are his son Keith D. Stickley, Jr. of Delaware and daughter Jessica R. Stickley of Glen Burnie, sisters Cynthia A. Sacha (Ned) of Severn and Pamela G. Murnane (Kevin) of Pasadena and nephews Ryan J. Beatley of Severn, Matthew D. Beatley of Middle River and Patrick J. Murnane.
The family will celebrate Doug’s life at a later date.
