Kenneth R. Shockey, Sr.

Kenneth R. Shockey, Sr. was born July 29, 1929 in Baltimore, MD to the late Arthur Shockey and Viola Magales Tudor and he was a resident of northern Anne Arundel County for over 30 years. He was a truck driver during his working life. Kenneth always enjoyed playing golf, bus trips to Atlantic City and he was an avid Orioles and Ravens fan. In earlier days enjoyed bowling and in later times he enjoyed a good card game. Mr. Shockey proudly served in the Navy in the later days of World War II. He was a member of the American Legion as well as the Glen Burnie Moose. In addition to his parents he is preceded by his first wife Marian Springer Shockey and his second wife Bertha Shockey and his son Stephen M. Shockey. Left to cherish his memory are sons Kenneth R. Shockey, Jr. of N. Myrtle Beach, SC and Glenn M. Shockey of Elkridge as well as daughters Nancy J. Becker of Millersville, Linda L. Finley of Eldersburg and Colleen M. Jackson of Hanover, PA. He is also survived by 1 sister, 2 brothers, 8 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren with one on the way. The family will celebrate his life privately.
