Lawrence W. Newell

Lawrence W. Newell was born August 16, 1933 in Baltimore, MD to the late Ray George and Bessie Ruth Newell (nee France) and has lived in Glen Burnie since 2004. He proudly served in the Army during the Korean Conflict. A retired truck driver, Mr. Newell enjoyed fitness, reading, politics and horses. He took his faith very seriously and was a member of St. Rose of Lima Church.  In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by son Thomas V. Newell and daughter Karen T. Poffley as well as brothers and sisters. He is survived by children Lawrence A. Newell of California, Robert Michael Newell of E. Baltimore, Virginia Lee Vienna of Edgewood and Tammy Celeste Newell of Essex as well as many grandchildren and great- grandchilldren. He passed away peacefully at the V.A. Medical Center in Baltimore after being in declining health for several years.
