Leon Aubrey Jones, Sr.

Leon Aubrey Jones, Sr. passed away on August 15, 2016 after a courageous battle with cancer.  Leon was born in Virginia to the late Robert Jones and Annie Frances Jones (nee Thompson).  He was a truck driver by profession and also served his country with the Army.  Leon was a Redskins and Nationals fan.  He also enjoyed cooking and especially loved spending time with his grandkids.  Leo is survived by his mother, Annie Frances Jones; wife, Yvonne Jones; sons, Leon Aubrey Jones, Jr., Robert Alexander, Sr.; brothers, James, Frank, David; sisters, Maxine, Brenda, Doris, Sheila, Joyce; grandchildren, Je’Vonte, Dennis, Reniya, Jamer, Robert, Jr., Taryn, Tasia, Teyari, Ramone, Aubrey, Leon, III, Tekira and numerous nieces and nephews.  In addition to his father, Leon was preceded in death by his daughter, Katara Alva Frances Jones.
