Leslie Carson Kane, a lifetime resident of Linthicum, passed away on November 11, 2014. Born in Baltimore to the late Robert L. and Barbara Ann (Peacher) Zimmerman, Sr. Leslie graduated from Andover High School Class of 75' and was a Registered Nurse for BWMC for 42 years. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, the Critical Care Association and also the Emergency Room RN Assoc. Leslie enjoyed reading, traveling, The Orioles, American Cancer Society Relay for Life and her family was the center of her world. She always said, "Nothing you do for your children is ever wasted." Mrs. Kane is survived by her husband, Thomas M. Kane of Linthicum; son, Matthew Thomas Kane of Arbutus; daughters, Sarah Christine Astarita of Joppa, Courtney Elizabeth Kane of Linthicum; brothers, Robert L. Zimmerman, Jr. of Brooklyn Park, Charles E. Zimmerman, Sr. of Glen Burnie, Richard M. Zimmerman of Glen Burnie; sisters, Roberta Ann Amhrein of Glen Burnie, Laurie Evelyn Rice of Oregon; godchildren, Susann Cantrell Rice, Robi Lynn Zimmerman; grandchildren Addison Rose Kane, Madilyn Grace Astarita, Jackson Thomas Kane, Ethan Michael Astarita and a host of friends and beloved co-workers. In addition to her parents, Leslie is preceded in death by her sister, Nancy Lee Zimmerman. For those so desiring, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society Relay for Life.
