Lewis H. Cornelius was born June 11, 1916 in Brunswick, MD to the late Lewis and Daisey Cornelius (nee Russell). He lived in Glen Burnie since 1964 when he and his wife left Baltimore. A car repairman at the Washington Terminal, he had worked on trains for over 40 years. A born mechanic in addition to working on trains he enjoyed restoring old cars, which he did well into his 90's as well as working in his yard and spending time with his family. He was a longtime member of Messiah United Meth. Ch. In addition to his parents Mr. Cornelius is preceded in death by his wife Veta Cornelius (nee Fry) and several brothers and sisters. He is survived by sons Lewis H. Cornelius and Brian K. Cornelius and his wife Jeanie, both of Glen Burnie, grandchildren Cindy T. Ponder and Mark L. Cornelius, Great-Grandson Michael Ponder and great-great grandson Carson Ponder. Lewis passed away at the Glen Burnie Health & Rehab. Center after a brief illness.
