Linda S. Tarleton

February 12, 1941 — April 5, 2016

Linda Sue Tarleton, aged 75, of Glen Burnie, passed away peacefully on Tuesday April 5, 2016 at the Hospice of the Chesapeake Inpatient Care Center in Pasadena Maryland., after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was born February 12, 1947, in Altoona, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Sylvester and Elda Russell. She married Jim Tarleton on June 28, 1975 and he preceded her in death.

Linda was a long time resident of Glen Burnie where she lived since leaving her childhood home in Altoona at the age of 20. She graduated from Altoona High School in 1959 and was an executive administrator at Johns Hopkins Hospital.

She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, sister, and friend, always putting others before herself.  She had the most generous, loving heart and touched many lives with her presence.  Her family and friends will always be thankful for the gift that was her life.  Family and friends were Linda’s passion and delight.  She loved to read and enjoyed card games and indulging her granddog.

Linda leaves to cherish her memory:  her brother, Tom Russell, and her son Chuck Tarleton and his partner Dan Hylton. She also leaves behind numerous loving relatives and friends.

Linda requested a private burial and funeral service to follow at the Oakridge Cemetery, Altoona.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Hospice of the Chesapeake, http://www.hospicechesapeake.org/

Arrangements were provided by Kirkley-Ruddick Funeral Home. Online condolences can be left on Linda Tarleton’s Memorial Tribute at http://www.kirkleyruddickfuneralhome.com/
