Celebrating the Life of Lloyd G. Plummer (Also lovingly known as Sapo, Daddy Lloyd and Pop Pop)
After a short battle with an illness, it is with heavy hearts and deep gratitude we announce that our beloved Lloyd G. Plummer was called home to be with the Lord on October 5, 2025, in Glen Burnie, Maryland. Born on December 14, 1943, in Clarendon, Jamaica. Predeceased by him Vestell Harriot his mother, also his father and stepmother Rupert and Bernice Plummer; and his brother Neville Plummer.
On January 3, 1973, Lloyd married the love of his life, Claris Thomas, in May Pen, Jamaica. Together they shared over 53 beautiful years of marriage built on love, faith, and family.
A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend, Lloyd lived a life marked by hard work, kindness, and quiet strength. He proudly retired from Mack Trucks after 40 years of dedicated service. In retirement, he found joy in the simple things — sharing meals, telling stories, playing his numbers and spending time with those he loved most.
Lloyd leaves behind a legacy of love and unity. He is survived by his beloved wife Claris; his four children: Kirk Plummer (Glen Burnie, MD), Wayne Davis (Tonie) (St. Augustine, FL), Debian “Debbie” Plummer (Baltimore, MD), and Michelle Plummer (Jamaica); four grandchildren: Endia (Jon), Shaquan, Eain, and Isaiah; and two great-grandchildren: Levi and Kaden.
He is also survived by his loving siblings: sisters Beryl Burt (Georgia) and Beverly Jackson (Maryland), and brothers Gifford Plummer (Jamaica), Collen Plummer (Pennsylvania), along with many dear aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends whose lives he touched with his warmth and wisdom.
Though he may be gone from our sight, Lloyd’s spirit lives on in the love he shared, the lessons he taught, and the many hearts he touched. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
Family and friends may visit at the KIRKLEY RUDDICK FUNERAL HOME on Tuesday, October 21st, from 3pm - 7pm and at the St. John's United Methodist Church, 6019 Belle Grove Road on Wednesday, October 22nd, from 10am -10:30am.
