Lois L. Lane

Lois L. Lane (nee Strausser) beloved wife of the late James E. Lane Jr.; loving mother of Carroline Helwig (and grandsons Franklin Frederick III, Scott Reighard and his wife Candice), Mary Hinkhaus (and granddaughter Lisa Kinsey), John Lane and his wife Rhonda Lane (and grandchildren Jordan Lane and Caitlyn Lane), Judie Theis and her husband Thomas Theis (and grandchildren Flynn Hoban and his wife Sandra, Daniel Theis, and Virginia Theis); dear sister of Jane “Betty” Friedkin and the late Guthrie Leroy Strausser and the late Katherine Moore and her late husband William Moore Sr; and Great Grandmother to; Madeline, Rylee, Wyatt, Austin, Aiden, Jonathan, and Audrey. Lois also has many nieces and nephews she was very close to.

Lois was born in Baltimore, Maryland on February 25, 1934 to Guthrie and Mildred Strausser and died at Spring Arbor Assisted Living in Severna Park on September 4, 2017. She worked for Anne Arundel County Schools from the 1970's through mid-2005 as a Cafeteria Manager. Lois loved cooking, baking, crafting, travel, playing cards, and spending time with dear friends and family, especially the children in her life.

Family and friends are invited for viewing at Kirkley-Ruddick Funeral Home Sunday September 10 ^th from 3-5 & 7-9 pm . Family and friends will gather on Monday at 11am at Kirkley-Ruddick. Interment to follow Maryland Veteran’s Cemetery, Crownsville MD.
