Lucas Matthew Johnson

Lucas Matthew Johnson was born September 24, 1980 in Georgetown, SC to Robert Eugene Johnson Jr. and Vela Terea Johnson, of Columbia, SC. Luke was a proud graduate of the University of South Carolina and a Warrant Officer in the South Carolina Army National Guard. He was a talented vocalist and guitar player and was a member of several bands through the years. Luke was always willing to share his knowledge and love of gaming, Star Wars and music with others. He was a dedicated friend and never met a stranger. In every career field, whether it was teaching, cyber security or the National Guard, he made sure to be the best teacher, mentor, technical advisor and service member he could be. Left to cherish his memory in addition to his parents are his beloved wife, Jessica Johnson, of Brooklyn Park, daughter Britton Raye Knotts of Goldsboro, NC, son Shaun Tyler Bachtel of Brooklyn Park, brothers Eric Johnson (Christy) and Morgan Johnson of Columbia, SC and nieces Reese and Hannah Johnson.

A celebration of life will be planned in the upcoming weeks to honor his memory.
