Maclyn Charles Brock, age 85, long time Glen Burnie resident, died peacefully August 31. Born November 14, 1928 to the late Charles and Zada (Wright) Brock in Lansing Michigan. In 1968 After 20 years of service, Maclyn retired from the United States Air Force. After the military, he worked as the Administrative Assistant in the Department of Pathology at Mercy Medical Center for 22 years until 1991. Maclyn hiked the Appalachian Trail from Georgia to Maine, at age of 55 ran the Marine Corp Marathon, was a private pilot, loved softball and was involved with the Shenandoah Mountain Rescue Group-Ground Search. He is survived by his wife, Janet (Gabel) Brock of Glen Burnie; son, Timothy W. Brock of Glen Burnie; daughters, Cindy L. Plouse, of PA, Theresa L. Gonzales of Glen Burnie; 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Maclyn was preceded in death by his son, Steven M. Brock and his daughter, Pam S. Brock.
