Madeline " Dolly" Zeman Bauer

Madeline “Dolly” Bauer, 87, passed away on November 24, 2015.  Born in Maryland to the late Anton and Marie (nee Hodek) Zeman on January 2nd of 1928.   Dolly was a member of the Glen Burnie United Methodist Church and was involved with the Glen Burnie United Methodist Church’s Women’s group.  She loved doing crafts, cooking and spending time with her children and grandchildren.  Dolly was known for making tons of Christmas cookies of all different varieties.  She gave plates of them away every year.  Dolly is survived by her husband of 66 years, John Carl Bauer of Glen Burnie; son, Howard C. Bauer and his wife, Robin of Rock Hall; daughter, Laura B. Gillis and her husband, Joe of Mt. Airy; brother, Richard Zeman of Glen Burnie; Betty Harris of Glen Burnie; grandchildren, John R. Bauer, Julie Gillis and Samantha Gillis.  IN addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Frank; sisters, Elsie, Marie, Helen, Sylvia and Vicky.  For those so desiring, memorial contributions may be made to the Glen Burnie United Methodist Church in honor of Dolly.    Friends and Family may call at the family owned Kirkley-Ruddick Funeral Home, P.A. on Friday, November 27, 2015 3-5 & 7-9 P.M. Funeral Service to be held on Saturday the 28th 11:00 AM at the Glen Burnie United Methodist Church.  Interment in Glen Haven Memorial Park to follow service.
