Magdeline "Maggie" Grant, born on August 15, 1938, in Cairo, Egypt, passed away peacefully on July 11, 2024, at the age of 85 in Crofton, MD.
She is survived by her loving family, including her son Paul Fahmy and his spouse Tamyka, grandsons Paul Jr. and Miles; daughter Nelly Drimak and her spouse Jeff; and Marianne Romines along with her spouse Michael and their children, grandson Maximilian and granddaughter Maddalene.
Maggie immigrated from Egypt to the United States with her immediate family in the middle of the 1976 bicentennial. Determined to quickly assimilate, she became a US citizen within 5 years.
Maggie earned a college degree at Cairo University and furthered her education in the US at Strayer College, paving the way for a successful career.
She retired from a fulfilling career at Giant Food, Transportation Division, where she was respected and cherished by her colleagues for her dedication and warmth.
Maggie will be remembered for her love of spicy foods, her passion for travel, the finer things in life, and her loving Pomeranian – Misty.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of The Chesapeake in Maggie's memory, honoring her compassionate spirit.
Funeral Mass will be held at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church on Thursday, July 18th, 10:00 am. Interment immediately following at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
