Manuel Leroy Croghan

On February 24, 2009, Manuel “Mac” Leroy Croghan passed away at the age of 89. Born in Maryland, Mac lived in Pasadena since 1972 and prior to that lived in Glen Burnie and Severna Park. Beloved husband for 47 years to the late Peg Croghan (nee Payne); Devoted father of Erin C. Sheckells of Pasadena, Cabrini M. Kriewald of Pasadena, Wayne Croghan of Glen Burnie, Michael W. Croghan of Glen Burnie and Joseph W. Croghan of Arnold; Loving brother of Eleanor Budd of Towson and Dolores Of Pennsylvania; Cherished grandfather of 8 and great-grandfather of four. He is predeceased by two brothers, John and Henry, and one grandchild.

Mac served his country as a member of the Unites States Army Air Force. He then worked for BG&E as a foreman until he retired after 30+ years of service. He also worked part-time as a fitness instructor for the Holiday Health Spa. An avid runner, Mac enjoyed going to the spa and working out. He loved going on trips with his wife and spending time at Deep Creek Lake. Mac also enjoyed playing and coaching baseball and was even scouted by several professional teams. He enjoyed going to Colts and Redskins games and participated in the Senior Olympics where he won many gold medals. Mac also enjoyed reading, but most especially, he loved to spend time with his grandchildren.
