Mr. Manuel A. Figueroa was born in Guatemala on February 24, 1952 to the late Mr. Alredo Solórzano and the late Mrs. Celeste A. Figueroa. He immigrated to the United States to the state of Florida at an early age. His passion for repairing damaged equipment led him to the opening of his own repair shop. He resided in Florida until he suffered a massive stroke that left him disabled and unable to pursue his passion, but that did not stop him from enjoying working with his hands and “fixing” things around the house.
Mr. Figueroa and his wife, Azucena, moved to Kentucky, where he resided until the day of his passing. Mr. Figueroa was a loving husband and a devoted father, both to his sons and to his family pets (Rambi, Jackie, Panda and Linda). Despite his disability, his genuine smile never faltered and he was able to get through every day in high spirits.
Left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife, Azucena Garcia, his two sons, Wayne and Alfred, his brother, Carlos, and his sister Marina, his stepchildren Ricardo Bojorge and Maria Vazquez, her husband Edgardo, and his step-granddaughter, Cynthia. Mr. Figueroa was loved by many, and his memory will live on forever in the hearts of those who knew him for the brave and caring man that he was.
The thought of knowing that Mr. Figueroa is now resting in the arms of the Lord gives the comfort and peace his family needs until they are all together again in the presence of God. Those who pass are never truly forgotten, as long as their loved ones remember them, and may Mr. Figueroa rest in peace in God’s holy kingdom and watch over us from above.
