Margaret O. Barling

On March 7, 2013, Margaret O. Barling of Glen Burnie passed away at the age of 83. Beloved wife of the late Edward W. Barling; Devoted mother of Ruth A. Schanken of Pasadena, Cheryl L. Francis of Glen Burnie and Alan P. Barling of Baltimore; Caring sister of the late Marie Pietrowski; Cherished grandmother of Steven and Bryan Schanken and Andrew and Nicole Francis and great-grandmother of Jacob and Maggie Schanken and Savannah Francis. Margaret graduated from Annapolis High School in 1946. She worked as a secretary for Department of Defense before retiring. She was a member of Ferndale UMC, the AARP, the NARFE and the Delmar Unit of Wives of Submarine Veterans of WWII. Margaret enjoyed needlework, reading and loved to travel.
