Margaret Jewel Barrett

Born Margaret "Jewel" McDaris in Cleveland, TN on December 7, 1931 to the late John Gather McDaris and late Loera Idilla (nee Carroll) McDaris. Mrs. Jewel Barrett was a longtime resident of Glen Burnie, MD where she was a homemaker, devoted wife and loving mother. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, taking care of her family and visiting with her grandchildren.

Mrs. Margaret "Jewel" Barrett passed away peacefully at Baltimore Washington Medical Center on March 31, 2019 with her family by her side. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Barrett was preceded in death by her husband Ernest Barrett in 1992, her grandson Christopher Barrett in 2015, five of her brothers and one sister. Mrs. Jewel Barrett leaves behind four children, David Barrett, Linda Leech and her husband Terry, Timothy Barrett and his wife Charlene, Kevin Barrett and his wife Beth, two siblings Ernest McDaris and Frances Herndon and three grandchildren Terri Kammerer, Kylie Barrett and Brenna Barrett. Her love will live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
