Margaret Norma Davis (Thomas), 94, resident of Westminster, died peacefully surrounded by her family at the Carrol Lutheran Village on Saturday, June 1, 2024. Margaret was born Wednesday, February 5, 1930, in Baltimore, Maryland to John and Alma (Waters) Thomas. Margaret loved the Baltimore community and would often be seen supporting the local sports teams including the Baltimore Ravens and Orioles.
In 1954 she married the love of her life, Charles. The two were each other’s true companion and friend. They were blessed with two children, Deborah and Charles. Margaret worked for many years as a bookkeeper for The Daughters of Charity and was known by others for always looking her best no matter the occasion. She was a woman of faith, rooted in her strong ties to the church, she was driven to help others less fortunate than herself. She was always showing her gratitude and appreciation to everyone and went out of her way to support others in any way she could. Margaret demonstrated the importance of showing up and being present for her family. She was always active in her grandchildren and great-grandchildren’s lives. She attended every sporting event, graduation, dance, or special event, cheering her family on from the sidelines.
Margaret is survived by her children, Deborah Lynn Basford (Brad) and Charles Edward
Davis III (Theresa) of Sykesville; Four Grandchildren, Jeffery Basford (Terry), Tracy Gaiser (Joe),
Lacey Davis, and Kylie Davis; and five Great-grandchildren, Sierra, Jacob, Sulle, Lindsay, and
Jordan. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles E. Davis Jr., and parents John
Thomas and Alma (Waters) Thomas.
Margaret will be remembered for her caring and generous nature which made continuous meaningful impacts in the lives of everyone she met.

Family and friends may visit at the KIRKLEY RUDDICK FUNERAL HOME on Thursday, June 13th, 2-4pm and 6-8pm and on Friday, June 14th, 10am - 11:30am. Funeral service to follow immediately, 11:30am. Interment Crownsville MD Veterans Cemetery.
