Margaret Louise Smith

Born Margaret Louise Knaus in Baltimore, MD on April 26, 1932 to Henry and Ernestine Knaus, she lived in Anne Arundel County for most of her life. She served as a kitchen manager for the Meals on Wheels program for over 25 years. She was a faithful member of Glen Lutheran Church. For over 25 years Mary volunteered with the Meals on Wheels program. In her spare time she enjoyed word books, Camping, spending time with her family, "crabs & beer". She was also a skilled seamstress. In addition to her parents Mrs. Smith is preceeded in death by her beloved husband  Bernard M. Smith who passed away earlier this year. She is survived by her daughters Florence M. Smith of Pennsylvania, Michelle L. Laramie, Pam J. Kilbourne, Janice M. Behringer and Carol A. DiMattei; all of Glen Burnie as well as brother John Knaus of Glen Burnie and sister Mary Farrell also of Glen Burnie. She is additionally survived by 14 loving grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. Mary passed away peacefully in her home on October 2, 2010 after a lengthy struggle with Alzheimers Disease. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
