Born Margaret E. Bonfield in Swanage, U.K. on July 15, 1926 to John Bonfield and Margaret Bonfield (nee Kelly) she lived in Maryland for most of her life. First in Savage and in Glen Burnie since 1964. A homemaker, her family was the center of her life. She enjoyed walking, gardening, keeping her home and she cherished caring for her grandchildren. She sold Avon Products in earlier years, getting around on her bicycle. Margarita also volunteered at North Arundel Hospital (now Baltimore Washington Medical Center). She became a United States citizen at age 70 because she wanted to vote in a presidential election. She is survived by her husband Leon F. Beaty of Glen Burnie, son Robert Beaty and his wife Joanna of Pasadena, daughters Robin Harrington and her husband Tim of Linthicum and Mary Ellen Beaty-O'Ferrall and her husband John of Catonsville. She is also survived by seven adoring grandchildren Caitlin Harrington, Brooks Beaty, Elizabeth O'Ferrall, Jessica Beaty, Erin Harrington, Maggie O'Ferrall and Caroline O'Ferrall. Mrs. Beaty passed away peacefully in her home after a lengthy illness.
