Marianne A. Mehlhorn

Marianne A. Mehlhorn (Harty), 73, died on July 9, 2026, under the care of Sun Life Assisted Living in Bowie. Marianne was born in Connecticut on New Years Day in 1953, to Joseph and Mary (Abdullah) Harty. Marianne graduated high school and later received her Associates Degree; she was employed at Verizon for years. 

Marianne enjoyed football season where she rooted for the New England Patriots and Tom Brady. She would also enjoy going to the Casinos, better known as the "greatest one arm bandit" around, playing slots and gambling, but her greatest joy in life was her family. She absolutely loved her dogs, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and especially her son, Ralph. Her entire life has always revolved around the love she had for her son and raising him. Marianne will be missed by so many, especially her son, Ralph. 

Marianne is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Harty and Mary (Abdullah) Harty. She is survived by her son Ralph E. Branford, Jr. (Dana) of Grasonville; her grandchildren, Capri, Destiny, Aniya and Ralph, III.; and her 6 great grandchildren. 

Family and friends are invited to a graveside service on Tuesday, July 14th, 10am, at the Cedar Hill Cemetery.
