Marie Elizabeth Morrison

Marie Elizabeth (Windhaus) Morrison, 89, Linthicum resident, died on January 24, 2025, under the care of Autumn Lake Glen Burnie Nursing Facility. She had been dealing with some health issues of late and died suddenly as a result of those illnesses.

Marie was born on Sunday, June 30, 1935, in Baltimore, Maryland, to William J. and Margaret Gertrude (Chaney) Windhaus. For years, she worked at American Excelsior making foam peanuts and sewing foam pillows. She loved to watch soap operas and Big Brother while eating snacks, delicious "Rebs" candy, and dark chocolate cordial cherries. Marie also enjoyed traveling to Amish Country in Pennsylvania, Williamsburg Virginia, and go to the Amish market. She also enjoyed KINGS syrup and Irish Potato Candy that her mom used to make. Most of all, Marie loved spending time with family that included trips to Ocean City at least twice per year.

Marie is preceded by her parents, William J. and Margaret Gertrude (Chaney) Windhaus; her husband, Chester Vernon Morrison; and her grandson, Jayme Keith Annis Jr. She is survived by her two daughters Janet Lee Saddler and Diana Lynn Bivens, her son-in-law David Hugel, her two grandchildren Melissa Portera (Joe Portera) and Jayme Annis (Amy Annis), and her six great grandchildren Joseph Portera Jr. Chasity Annis, Jordan Portera, Angelina Portera, Emily Annis, and Lucas Annis.

Family and friends may visit at the KIRKLEY RUDDICK FUNERAL HOME on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, 10:30am - 12:30pm. Funeral service to follow immediately at 12:30pm. Interment Glen Haven Memorial Park.
