Mark Andrew Rankin

Suddenly, on May 27, 2023, Mark Andrew Rankin, left us to be with the Lord. Mark was born on Thursday, July 19, 1979, in Bend, Oregon to Ernest LeRoy and Judith Ellen (Harris) Rankin. In 1982, his family moved from Oregon to Maryland, where he lived the remainder of his life. He was a member of the NRA and loved the outdoors: fishing, hiking, and camping. He also had a love for music, singing and playing his drums, and listening to all his favorite artists; Pink Floyd was just one of them. He loved his family, and they loved him. It wasn't unusual for Mark to be picking on his nieces, nephews, and stepsons; always having a good time with them. Mark was a "jokester", "a good time" and "the life of the party". His fun ways and sense of humor will be missed by so many.

Mark is preceded by his father, Ernest LeRoy Rankin and his sister, Julie Ann Rankin. He is survived by his wife, Myra Zoe (Oliva) Rankin of Glen Burnie; his mother, Judith Ellen (Harris) Rankin of Glen Burnie; his stepsons, Christopher Oliva (Fiancé Desiré)  and Lance Hildenbrand; his siblings, Valerie Shivel of Millersville, June Richard (Donald) of MA, Rebeccah Chaney (Richard) of Glen Burnie, Matthew Rankin (Misty) of TN, and Elizabeth Hunt (Brad) of Millersville; son-in- law of, Roberto M. and Amalia F. Oliva; brother-in-law of, Mike Oliva, Mandy Carter (Jesse), Marsha Oliva (Lain Frey); uncle of, Ben, Jennifer (Fiancé, Roman Priebe), Olivia, Erin, Eliza, Alexis (Mike), Austin (Fiancé, Victoria Murphy), Brooke (Michael), Corinne, Corey, Jeffrey, Broden, Liam, Olivia, Isabella, Brian, Weston, Bella and Layla; great Uncle of, Amelia, Nora, Lorelei, Kade, Luka and Matthew; and  his dear dog, Teddy.

Family and friends may visit at the KIRKLEY RUDDICK FUNERAL HOME on Saturday, June 3, from 1pm - 4pm. Funeral service to follow immediately at 4pm. Interment private.
