Marlene Elizabeth Knepp (Pardoe), 90, Glen Burnie resident for over 65 years, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, October 9, 2024. Marlene was born in Baltimore, Maryland on Friday, June 1, 1934, to Thomas Alvin Wesley Pardoe and Margaret (Hutchinson) Pardoe. Marlene graduated from high school in 1952. She was a cashier/customer service representative for the MVA from 1966 - 1996, when she retired. Marlene moved from Baltimore to Glen Burnie when the twins, Ronald and Sharon, were 7 years old. Marlene was a member of the Glen Burnie Moose Lodge for many years. She enjoyed watching TV, doing ceramics, caring for her great grandchildren, her great great granddaughter, and world traveling; Hawaii, Mexico and Italy, just to name a few. She will be missed by her family.
Marlene is preceded by her parents, Thomas Alvin Wesley Pardoe and Margaret (Hutchinson) Pardoe and her sister, Barbara Lee Patrick. She is survived by her 2 children, Ronald Carl DiLauro of Glen Burnie and Sharon Lee Granahan (Sean) of Elkridge; her 2 grandchildren, Amy Arnold of Glen Burnie and Christina Coburn (Ed) of Glen Burnie; her 6 great grandchildren, Amberly, TJ, Kailyn, Michael, Madison and Eddie; and 1 great great granddaughter, Horizon.
