Mary Helinski was born in Derry, Ireland on Tuesday, December 4, 1934, to John and Sarah (McDade) Starrs. Mary was a homemaker that took care of the family and cooked most meals from scratch. She filled her time with knitting, going to Maryland LIVE and watching the Baltimore RAVENS. Mary was an Irish Dancer who competed in several competitions in Ireland and even brought the love of dancing to her grandchildren. She loved going to their competitions to support and cheer them on. She will be missed immensely by so many, near and far.

Mary is preceded by her parents, John Starrs and Sarah (McDade) Starrs; her husband, Robert M. Helinski; her brother Paddy Starrs and her baby boy, RayRay. She is survived by her children, Robert J. Helinski of Glen Burnie, Kevin G. Helinski (Michele) of Glen Burnie, Donna M. Helwich (Michael) of Pasadena and Mary Jo Smith of Myrtle Beach, SC; 11 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

Family and friends may gather at the KIRKLEY RUDDICK FUNERAL HOME on Sunday, January 23, 2022, 2 - 4pm and 6 - 8pm. Funeral service will be Monday, January 24, 2022, 1pm at the funeral home. Interment Crownsville Veterans Cemetery. Services will be streaming and will be available on our Facebook page.
