Born Mary Edith Sanner in Baltimore on March 27, 1931 to the late John and Martha Sanner. Mrs. Mary "Edith" Hildebrand was a lifetime resident of Glen Burnie. She was active in religious activities including supporting missionaries, card ministry, enjoyed old hymns and was described as a "Prayer Warrior". Edith enjoyed gardening, taking trips to the beach, and spending time with her family. Her family shared stories of her great sense of humor and how she would send cards for every occasion to her entire family.
Mrs. Mary "Edith" Hildebrand passed away peacefully at home on October 27, 2020. In addition to her parents, Edith was preceded in death by her loving husband Edward L. Hildebrand, Jr., her brother Jack Sanner and her sisters Nancy Dicus and Lorraine Wagner. Those left to cherish her memory are her son Edward L. Hildebrand, III of Clemmons, NC, her daughters Deborah L. vonLindenberg of Glen Burnie, MD, Karen S. Cross of Baltimore, MD, and Laura L. Ridley of Severn, MD, grandchildren Edward L. Hildebrand 4th, Douglas "DJ" vonLindenberg, Lindsey Stratmann, Matthew vonLindenberg and great-grandchildren Landon, Lincoln and Ethan. Edith will remain in the minds and hearts of all who knew her.
