Mary Lou Spake

Mary Lou Spake was born October 23, 1942 in Baltimore, Maryland to the late Edward W. and Loretta Flashell. Ms. Spake was a graduate from Seton High School, and a former longtime resident of Anne Arundel County before moving to Grasonville where she resided for the last 15 years. She was a great cook, a collector of vintage dolls, an animal and nature lover, and above all else she was a devoted caregiver to her son Jeffrey. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Left to cherish her memory are her children William Ronald Spake and his wife Therese “Terri” of Frederick, Jeffrey Thomas Spake of Hagerstown, sisters Loretta L. Novak of Bel Air and Patricia A. Szczechowiak of Essex, granddaughter Veronica Caitlin Spake of North Bethesda and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandson William Tyler Spake of Merritt Island, FL.

Ms. Spake passed away November 21, 2018 at George Washington University Hospital. Family will receive friends Tuesday, November 27, 2018 3-5pm with a funeral service beginning at 5pm at Kirkley-Ruddick Funeral Home, 421 Crain Hwy. S. Glen Burnie, MD 21061
