Mary Ellen Sterling

Mary Ellen Sterling, 69, Glen Burnie resident died peacefully in her home surrounded by family on January 10, 2016. Born January 14, 1946 to the late Charles E. and the late Mary Betty (Porter) Rowe in Baltimore. She worked for the Anne Arundel School Board as the Principal's Secretary for many years. Mary Ellen loved to read, especially the bible; she loved traveling, camping and even did a little gardening. Her love for her "favorite" children, the four legged adopted ones never stopped, she absolutely loved her dogs. She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Jan N. Sterling; her children, Michael L. Woody of Hunt Valley, Kelly M. Woody of Glen Burnie, Teri M. Sterling of Florida and siblings; Charles E. Rowe of Westminster and Patricia A. Jackson of Pasadena.

Friends and family may gather at the family owned and operated KIRKLEY-RUDDICK FUNERAL HOME, PA. on Wednesday, 3-5 & 7-9pm. Funeral Service will be Thursday, 12pm at the funeral home. Interment Friday, 10am at Glen Haven Memorial Park.
