Melva Gail Huffstetler

Melva Gail Huffstetler, 72, was born in Baltimore, Maryland on September 14, 1948 to Merle and Melva Lorraine (Hurley) Harshman. Melva has been a resident of Glen Burnie for over 20 years. In her earlier years, she was a substitute teacher in Baltimore and then later, working for M&T Bank, dealing with the Corporate Accounts. Melva collected dolls and liked to cook, she made some awesome Corn Bread. She loved doing word searches, reading her bible and singing hymns; In the Garden and Amazing Grace, two of her favorites. Melva absolutely loved waiting on her husband, William Timothy Huffstetler, hand over foot, until he died in December 2020.

Melva was greeted in Heaven by her parents; husband and brothers, Merle Harshman, Jr. and Dwight Lee Harshman. She is survived by her two daughters, Lura Denny (Timothy) of Glen Burnie, Erin Miller (Benjamin) of Charleston, SC; brother, Mark Allen Harshman of Baltimore; grandchildren, Timothy, Morgan, Molly, Luke, George III., and Allison and great granddaughter, Oaklee-Ann.

Family and friends may call at the KIRKLEY RUDDICK FUNERAL HOME on Thursday, 2 - 4 pm and 6 - 8 pm. Funeral Service, Friday, 11 am at the funeral home. Interment Glen Haven Memorial Garden.
