Meryl Blaine Tewell, Sr.

Meryl Blaine Tewell, Sr., 82, well know as "Blaine" to everyone, died Saturday, June 14, in the care of Crofton Care and Rehabilitation Center. Born July 11, 1931 to the late Meryl C. and Irene Opal (Morris) Tewell in Cumberland, Md. Blaine was the oldest of eight. He returned to Baltimore after the military and married his love, Doris Mae (Crosby) in October 1955. In June of 1965 they moved the family to Severn and has been there ever since. He was a member of the American Legion and Moose. Loved to fix things, fish and crab but his devotion for his family was beyond words. He was a fan of football and enjoyed watching his grandsons play the game. Blaine is preceded by his parents and brother, Lowell Tewell. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Doris Mae Tewell (Crosby) of Severn; daughter, Cynthia Ann Ravadge of Virginia; sons, M. Blaine Tewell, Jr. of Idaho and Keith Allan Tewell of West Virginia; brothers, Robert Tewell of Pasadena, James Tewell of Pasadena, Roy Tewell of Hurlock, Daniel Tewell of Brooklyn, Kenneth Tewell of Iowa; sisters, Trudy Mynes of California and Bonnie Heinlein of Pasadena; grandchildren; Rebecca Kennon, M. Blaine Tewell, III., Andrew Ravadge, David Tewell, Gregory Tewell, Matthew Ravadge, Amy Tewell and great grandchildren; Koral Kennon and Alexandria Ravadge.
