Michael T. Benson

Michael Thomas Benson, age 67, died peacefully with family at his side at St. Agnes Hospital in Baltimore on January 19, 2017. He was born in Southbridge, MA on March 25, 1949. He was pre deceased by his loving wife, Susan, his brother John, his parents, John Benson and Helen (Bendery) Benson. He leaves behind daughter Leslie Hanratty and her husband Cornell of Clinton, MA and stepsons, Christopher Buterbaugh of Glen Burnie and his wife Levis and Phillip Buterbaugh of Glen Burnie, and sisters Carol Benoit and her husband Jerome of Vernon, CT and Marjorie Quaiel of Florida. Michael also leaves his beloved grandchildren, Austin Buterbaugh, Max, Erik, Luke, and Keira Hanratty. Also several nieces and nephews.
Mike grew up in Newton, MA and graduated from college in Kentucky where he met his wife, Amy. Mike was a computer design engineer in Maryland. He was funny, kind hearted, loved being out in nature, playing sports, biking and swimming. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Paralyzed Veteran's association at PVA.org
