Michael R. Mundella, Sr., 72, resident of Maryland for over 30 years, died September 8, 2015. He was born on November 21, 1942 to the late Michael and the late Adeline (Merenda) Mundella in Staten Island, New York. Michael was a residential and commercial plumber and has been enjoying his retirement for 15 years. Up until a year ago he was still a member of the Volunteer Fire Police in Western, Maryland. Golf, baseball, fishing, Italian food; he enjoyed it all but nothing topped Pizza, Peanut Chews and coaching little league with his sons and grandsons. Michael was a very family oriented; he absolutely loved his grandchildren and "his father's" cheesecake will be one of many things missed; a recipe that will continue to be passed down. Michael is survived by his wife, Susan L. (Cooley) Mundella; children, Donna S. Colman and her husband Walter of Glen Burnie, Michael R. Mundella, Jr. and his wife Stacey of Old Town, Tammy Ray and her husband Jim of Pasadena, Tony Mundella and his wife Susan of Glen Burnie; brother, Richard; sister, Marie; step-brothers, Chip and Champ; step-sister, Beverly; grandchildren, Walter Colman, Nicholas Colman, Tyler Colman, Hannah Colman, Brittney Holston, Joseph Mundella, Ashley Toloczko, Joshua Toloczko, Samantha Mundella, Heather Mundella, Tony Mundella and great grandchildren, Cali Colman, Christopher Watson, Brenden Watson, Connor Mundella and 2 on the way. Funeral Service and Military Honors will be held on Tuesday, September 22, 2015 2:30 P.M. at Crownsville Maryland Veterans Cemetery.
