Mildred B. Tolodziecki was born on January 19, 1927, in Baltimore, Maryland to Arthur B. League and Cleo (VanPelt) League. After graduation, Mildred was a clerical secretary for the Farmers Co Op for many years. In her earlier years, she also was an Arthur Murray Dance Instructor and was known to "cut the rug" with her gracious moves. She moved to Delaware with her husband John in 2003 to retire until his death in 2017, and then returned to Maryland in 2018 to live with her son and his wife. Mildred loved to go gambling and riding on a motorcycle. She was a member of the Elks Club, American Business Women's Association, Praise and Thunder Motorcycle Club, and Navy Mothers. She was a big supporter of the Wounded Warriors and the ASPCA. She will be missed by so many.
She is preceded by her parents, Arthur B. League and Cleo (VanPelt) League; her first husband of 45 years, Stephen R.L. Buck; her second husband, John H. Tolodziecki, and her son, Norval Roland Buck. She is survived by her children, Stephen Edward Buck (Susan) of Connecticut and Robert Lewis Buck (Linda) of Glen Burnie; daughter-in-law, Karen Buck; brother, Arthur V. League (Joan) of Delaware; 7 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.
Family and friends may gather at the KIRKLEY-RUDDICK FUNERAL HOME on Friday, February 18, 2022, 9:30am - 11:30am. Funeral Service to follow immediately at 11:30am at the funeral home. Interment Friday, February 18, 2022, 2:00pm at the Eastern Shore Veterans Cemetery, 6827 E. New Market Ellwood Road, Hurlock, MD 21643. In lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be made to The Wounded Warrior Project and/or the SPCA.
