Myrtle I. Dittmar

Born Myrtle Irene Hook in Baltimore, MD on August 22, 1927 to the late Robert G. Hook and Myrtle I. (Holmes) Hook. A lifelong resident of Glen Burnie, Mrs. Dittmar worked as a cashier for A&P Stores. An active member of Christ Lutheran Church. Myrtle enjoyed gardening and doing crosswords.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Dittmar is preceded in death by her husband Robert R. Dittmar, Jr., three of her brothers Holmes Hook, Robert Hook and William Hook and four of her sisters LaVerne Knight, Mary Ellen Wright, Helen Wade and Thelma Johnson. She is survived by her son Robert R. Dittmar, III of Glen Burnie, her daughter Joan M. Sanborn of Glen Burnie, five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, her brother Gordon Hook of Millersville, and her sister Joan Corcoran of Ferndale.  Mrs. Dittmar passed away peacefully at Glen Burnie Health and Rehabilitation Center following a brief illness. Mrs. Dittmar will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
