Born Myrtle Ruth Bark on September 12, 1924 in Baltimore, MD to Charles T. Bark and his wife Anne K. Bark (nee Ostendorf). She lived her entire life in the Baltimore area. Mrs. Szymanski worked as a switchboard operator at South Baltimore General Hospital (now Harbor Hospital Center) for over 30 years. She was an avid reader and she enjoyed watching soap operas and spending time with her family. In addition to her parents Myrtle was preceeded in death by her husband Eugene M. Szymanski, a brother and a sister. She is survived by her son Michael E. Szymanski of Glen Burnie, daughters Susan Musser of Dundalk and Charlene A. Pittman of Morrell Park. She is also survived by 20 Grandchildren, 28 Great-Grandchildren and 2 Great-Great-Grandchildren. She passed away peacefully surrounded by her family after a brief illness.
