Norbert S. Swanger

On January 25, 2013, Bud Swanger of Glen Burnie, Maryland passed away at the age of 73. He was a retired Westinghouse/Northrup Grumman employee whose passions in life included his Harley motorcycle, traveling, and his two grandchildren, Sarah and Daniel. Sarah preceded him in death, in February 2011 at the age of 19. Previously, he journeyed to Sweden to visit Magnus Janeborn, an exchange student who had lived with the Swanger?s in the 1980?s and has remained a close friend of the family through the years. Bud was an avid reader of Western novels and next month would have celebrated his 52nd wedding anniversary. He leaves behind his beloved wife Janice, children Michele Swanger of Pasadena, Maryland, Stephen Swanger of Glen Burnie, Maryland, and Susan and Tien Swanger-Wei of Pepperell, Massachusetts and grandson, Daniel M. Pyles of Pasadena, Maryland. Bud also leaves behind a surviving brother, Ray Swanger, and sister, Agnes Marie Lopez, each of Johnstown, PA and a legion of "favorite" nieces and a nephew. Lastly, he leaves behind his "little sweetheart" Daisy.
