Patricia Marie Kulesa

Patricia Marie (Lenahan) Kulesa, 79, a resident of Linthicum, passed away on Wednesday, May 22, 2025, after a long illness. She was born in Wilkes Barre, PA, on Wednesday, January 23, 1946, to John and Catherine (Miller) Lenahan. Patricia graduated from Elizabeth Seton High School in Bladensburg, MD, in 1964. She married Jerome John Kulesa in May 1967, eventually settling in Linthicum to raise a family. She later was employed in a number of roles, including in customer service for Deluxe Corporation, as an optical assistant, and in several jobs at BWI Airport where she worked in Celebrate Maryland stores and in the first-class lounge for British Airways. She developed many great friendships working at BWI and volunteering there with the Pathfinders team. She was a woman of strong faith and a long-time parishioner at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church. She taught CCD at the parish, including Confirmation classes. She also joined bible study groups there and later at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Mt. Airy. She enjoyed water aerobics and made many good friends while being active. Patricia was truly a people person who often entertained groups of friends at home and enjoyed great conversations and long-standing friendships. Time spent with friends and family was cherished the most. She will be greatly missed by so many.

Patricia is preceded in death by her parents, John and Catherine (Miller) Lenahan; and her husband of 39 years, Jerome John Kulesa. She is survived by her two sons, Kevin (Amy) Kulesa of Frederick and Patrick (Kristin) Kulesa of Garden City, NY; her sister, Kathleen (Robert) Hopper of Indianapolis; her niece, Julie of Carlsbad, CA; her two nephews, Sean of Indianapolis and Douglas of Montrose, CO; and her grandson, Matthew Jerome Kulesa.

Family and friends may visit at the KIRKLEY RUDDICK FUNERAL HOME on Wednesday, May 28th, 2-4pm and 6-8pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, May 29th, at 11am at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church. Interment, Friday, May 30th, 1pm at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, Wilkes Barre, PA.
