Patrick B. Sullivan was born December 4, 1942 in Baltimore, MD to the late Dr. William Sullivan and Mary Vulgaris Sullivan. Mr. Sullivan returned to Maryland 5 years ago after living in Myrtle Beach, SC for the previous 16 years. Before that he had lived in Gambrills and Glen Burnie. A proud graduate of City College and the University of Baltimore with a degree in business he began the first of his two careers. He had worked as a department manager for Sears for 24 years when he and his wife entered the restaurant business. They owned and operated the first O’Toole’s Restaurant franchise in the United States when they opened in Laurel. Later they converted the restaurant to Sullivan’s Steak and Beverage. Patrick treasured time spent at the beach. He also enjoyed gardening, travel and playing cards. In addition to his parents, he is preceded by step-son Kevin Williams and step-daughter Roxi Topper. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of almost 50 years Mary Christine Johanson Sullivan of Glen Burnie, son Kenneth Sullivan of Arnold (Donna) and Susan Sullivan of Arnold as well as 9 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Patrick Sullivan passed away peacefully at the Lorien Center in Elkridge and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
