Paul Donald Armstrong, 77, resident of Frankford, Delaware, formerly of Glen Burnie, Maryland, died on Monday, December 22, 2025, under the care of Delmar Nursing Home. Paul was born on Thursday, May 27, 1948, in Hyde Park, Massachusetts, to Paul F. and Dorothy H. (Doucette) Armstrong. He graduated from Glen Burnie High School in 1966, and joined the Army in 1967. Paul served for our country proudly, receiving a Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal and Sharpshooter. After returning home from the service, Paul then married the love of his life Helen, in 1970. He furthered his education and received an Associates Degree in Civil Engineering, from Anne Arundel Community College. Paul retired from the Maryland State Highway Administration, where he was employed for 35 years, as a District Manager. He lived through his faith, and enjoyed life. He loved the TERPS and was a “Big Time” Orioles Fan! He was also a baseball and softball coach for his children in his younger years. He enjoyed gardening and took great pride in his yard. Paul also had great pride and love for his family. He will be greatly missed by everyone that was blessed to have known him.
Paul is preceded by his parents, Paul F. Armstrong and Dorothy H. (Doucette) Armstrong; and his siblings, Leonard M. Armstrong and Jane Spray. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Helen Mary (Hutson) Armstrong; his children, Tina Marie Armstrong of Millsboro, De., and Kevin Michael Armstrong and his wife Holly of Lake Wylie, SC; as well as his brothers, Ronald Armstrong of Pasadena and Stephen Armstrong of Pasadena; and his 5 grandchildren; Eliana, Benjamin, Samuel, Alexandra, and Abigail.
Family and friends may visit at the KIRKLEY RUDDICK FUNERAL HOME on Thursday, January 8, 2026, 2-4pm and 6-8pm. Funeral service will be on Friday, 10am at the funeral home. Interment Crownsville MD VA Cemetery.
