Paul grew up in Freeland, PA. He was born in the house he grew up in 1233 Walnut Street. He joined the United States Navy on May 29, 1951 and proudly served until his last day on May 2, 1955 when he was Honorably Discharged at the rank of GM3. He honored his country and his flag. He was awarded the Good Conduct Medal and the National Defense Service Medal.
He was a Roman Catholic and followed his faith all his life. He liked to go up town to St Jude's in Baltimore for Sunday mass.
After leaving service he lived with his sister Ann and her family in Brooklyn Park, MD. He met and married Janice and they moved into the small development of Harundale in Glen Burnie, MD. They raised their family at 1508 Ingalls Road where he still lived at the time of his death.
He loved to play cards, going to the horse track, going deer hunting and go to the grocery store. They made him happy. And his greatest joy was being needed by someone, having a purpose in life. For years he was the sole caregiver for his wife Janice, he took great care of her.
In his later years he loved to work in his yard, he was so proud of his garden in the front yard. People would compliment him all the time on how nice it looked and he would get all red in the face and his chest would puff out with pride. He was always outside when he could be in his garden. His yard was always beautiful.
He worked at the Social Security Administration for many years until he retired as a Computer Operator working hours of overtime so we could have nice things and go on family trips. To give us a nice life and he did.
Paul loved spending time with his family, adored by his friends. And cooking for everyone. He would think of reasons to have gatherings so he could feed everybody. He touched so many hearts and with his kind caring ways.
He will be greatly missed and his memory will be cherished forever in the hearts of those who knew him.
